Netflix’s games bet keeps swinging toward living-room party mode. Netflix Minigolf — developed by Next Games — launches July 28 for subscribers at no extra cost, stuffing Stranger Things, Squid Game, and Bridgerton into more than 60 minigolf/pinball hybrid holes you play on the TV with phones as controllers.

How it plays

Up to four local players scan a QR code, putt through themed courses, and collect “Pranks” to sabotage opponents on their turns. Lowest score is not always the win condition — which is Netflix’s way of saying chaos is the point. No extra hardware beyond a compatible smart TV and the phones already on your couch.

Why the date is deliberate
