One Hundred Years of Solitude Part 2 lands August 5 — seven episodes, grand finale August 26

Macondo’s second half is two days away. Netflix’s One Hundred Years of Solitude — the Spanish-language Dynamo adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s novel — drops Part 2’s first seven episodes on August 5, 2026, then holds the grand finale for August 26 as a standalone closer. Part 1 remains the critically praised on-ramp if you somehow missed 2024–25’s prestige wave.

What Part 2 covers

After the armistice, peace still fails Macondo. Fernanda del Carpio arrives from Bogotá; the twins José Arcadio Segundo and Aureliano Segundo split destiny between railroad modernity and domestic storm; the banana company seeds the town’s downfall. Directors Laura Mora and Carlos Moreno split the episode slate, with Mora taking the finale.

How to watch the split

Plan two calendar holds: a binge window starting Aug 5 for episodes 1–7, then a finale night on Aug 26. Netflix is treating the last chapter like an event film inside the series — do not expect it in the first drop. Subtitles/dubs follow the Part 1 language matrix.

“…the lineage condemned to one hundred years of solitude were not granted a second opportunity on earth.”
