Galaxy Z Fold8 stack is two days out — Aug 7 sales, Gemini Nano 4, three-phone shelf

Friday is foldable day. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8 go on general sale August 7, 2026 — two days out — across Samsung.com, Best Buy, Amazon, and major US carriers after the July London Unpacked. US starts: Flip8 $1,199, Fold8 $1,899, Fold8 Ultra $2,099. All three ship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Android 17, One UI 9, and on-device Gemini Nano 4.

Which SKU for whom

Ultra = camera/workspace max (200MP, bigger battery). Fold8 = the new wide-aspect experiment for video and reading. Flip8 = pocket flex with smarter cover window. Online exclusives (Green Shadow, Pistachio, Mint) still route through Samsung.com.

Software is the upsell

Gemini Nano 4 agentic tasks across 40+ apps remain the pitch over “thinner hinge.” If you only want a fold for multitasking screenshots, wait for street price; if you want the agent demo, day-one stock matters.

“Four days out… three-phone foldable stack… Gemini Nano 4 inside.”
