Nexon announces massive new MMORPG “Temppal: Overgeared”

While legacy MMOs like KurtzPel announce their shutdowns, Nexon is doubling down on the genre. On July 30, the South Korean publishing giant officially announced “Temppal: Overgeared,” a new flagship MMORPG currently in development for PC and mobile.

From Web Novel to Virtual World

Based on the incredibly popular web novel of the same name, the game centers around deep crafting systems, player-driven economies, and large-scale guild territory wars. Players can master various production classes, turning blacksmithing and tailoring into paths for server-wide dominance rather than just side activities.

Nexon has promised cross-platform progression and an engine built to handle massive siege battles without sacrificing visual fidelity. With a closed beta scheduled for early 2027, Temppal: Overgeared is positioning itself as the next major obsession for the Asian and global MMO markets.
