Amazon Luna is inside Prime Video on Fire TV — games and shows, one living-room stack

The remote just gained a start button. Amazon is rolling Luna game streaming into the Prime Video app on Fire TV in the U.S. and U.K. — so Prime members can move from a series episode to a cloud game without hunting a second app icon. July’s showcase pairing is obvious: Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 and Chronicles on the same night.

What the integration actually changes

Luna remains a stream: smartphone as controller, no console download, Prime-included access for the catalog Amazon chooses to surface. Fire TV is the living-room wedge; Luna also continues on the dedicated app, select LG/Samsung TVs, and browsers. The strategic read is Amazon collapsing video + games into one subscription surface the way Game Pass and Netflix keep failing to share a couch.

Platform limits to remember

This is not “every Steam game on your TV.” It is Amazon’s licensed and first-party Luna slate, with regional availability still mattering for which titles appear. Controllers are phones first; serious input still means caring about latency and Wi-Fi the way every cloud pitch eventually admits.

“Play Luna games directly on Prime Video alongside shows, movies, and live sports — jump straight into the action after watching.”

— Amazon Game Studios / Luna messaging — July 2026

If the Caped Crusader week works, expect more same-day show-plus-game stacks. The tech story is distribution. The product story is whether anyone finishes the episode before launching the case file.
