Blade Runner 2099 drops November 25 on Prime — all eight episodes, Yeoh and Schafer

The neon finally has a calendar. At Comic-Con, Prime Video and Alcon locked Blade Runner 2099 for November 25, 2026 — all eight episodes at once, in more than 240 countries. The first proper trailer followed Hall H first-look stills: coats, narration, and a Los Angeles that no longer belongs to humans.

Premise: the war already happened

Set fifty years after Blade Runner 2049, the logline puts fugitive Cora (Hunter Schafer) into a last identity as a Blade Runner, forced to partner with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh) — a Replicant days from dying — while hunting a runaway whose secret could collapse the city. Showrunner Silka Luisa has described a post-uprising status quo: replicants as power brokers, humans as second-class, visual language pitched as “sunshine noir” rather than eternal rain.

Who is building it

Ridley Scott executive produces; Jonathan van Tulleken directs the first two episodes. Series regulars and guests include Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Tom Burke, Sheila Atim, and Matthew Needham. For franchise fans who lived through the long silent development stretch since 2022, November 25 is the binge date — not a weekly drip.

If 2049 was the slow requiem, 2099 is the aftermath politics. Prime is stacking the cyberpunk lane for late 2026; this is the flagship.
