Outer Banks Season 5 final trailer drops — Pogues hunt revenge as the series ends August 20

Pogue life gets a closing window. Netflix’s official Outer Banks Season 5 trailer is out, and the pitch is blunt: John B, Kiara, Sarah, Pope, and Cleo are picking up the pieces after JJ’s death, chasing riches and revenge against Chandler Groff while the Kooks, Corsairs, and every leftover enemy close in. The fifth and final season — 10 hour-long episodes — premieres August 20, 2026.

What the trailer actually shows

Expect motorcycle cliff jumps, tower climbs, storm sailing, knife fights, and explosives — Chase Stokes called the shoot “physically, emotionally, and mentally the most demanding.” The uneasy Rafe alliance is back on the table. The Blue Crown is gone. Home is not safe. Tudum’s synopsis frames it as the Pogues against the world, avenging their best friend and fighting for the freedom they have chased since Season 1.

How to watch the goodbye

Stream Season 5 on Netflix starting August 20. Netflix is also running a LA cast event with an Episode 1 advance screening and a Tudum.com livestream watch party so remote Pogues are not left behind. If you are behind, binge Seasons 1–4 before the 20th — the trailer assumes you remember Morocco.
