Wuchang sequel confirmed — original director Xia Siyuan returns via Indolphinity, 505 Games publishes

The feathering disease is not done. On July 29, 505 Games and Chengdu Recursive Dolphin Technology — branded Indolphinity, founded by original Wuchang: Fallen Feathers creative director Xia Siyuan — announced a development and publishing agreement for a new Wuchang chapter. Digital Bros (505’s parent) already owns the IP after an April 2026 acquisition; this deal puts the director who shipped the 2025 breakout back on the sequel with global publishing muscle.

Why the studio swap matters

Fallen Feathers launched July 24, 2025, peaked above 131K Steam concurrents, and crossed roughly 5 million players across PC and console — Digital Bros later cited more than €30M revenue in eight months. Original developer Leenzee effectively dissolved after leadership exits; Xia’s Indolphinity is the continuity play. Digital Bros is also standing up a Chengdu subsidiary to sit next to the team — more than a logo-on-box co-publish.

What is (and is not) confirmed

Confirmed: Indolphinity leads creative development in China; 505 funds and publishes worldwide; initial investment talk sits around €21.5M / ~$24.5M. Not confirmed: sequel title, platforms, release window, or whether it is a direct narrative sequel versus a new Wuchang-universe entry. Treat every “2027 leak” as fan fiction until a trailer lands.

“Wuchang’s story is far from over. Together, Indolphinity and 505 Games set out on a new journey rooted in Eastern soil.”
