Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launches July 30 with up to 4K/60 in TV mode, 1080p/60 handheld, sharper cutscenes, new Pyra and Mythra outfits, Merc Assault Blade command battles, and rare Blade MOMO (light/dark swap) with her own quest.
The $9.99 path matters
Existing Switch owners are not forced into a full $70 rebuy — the Upgrade Pack is $9.99. New players pay full digital; physical Switch 2 Edition carts arrive October 1. Torna – The Golden Country gets a free performance bump on Switch 2 the same day (Expansion Pass owners still need the XC2 upgrade pack for Torna’s full Switch 2 path per Nintendo’s store copy).
