Halo: Campaign Evolved full launch is July 28 — Game Pass day one after Premium early access

The five-day head start ends. Halo: Campaign Evolved’s full launch is July 28, 2026 — Standard Edition unlock plus day-one Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass — after Premium and Collector’s Edition owners went live July 23 at 8 AM PDT with no pre-load window.

What the remake actually is

Halo Studios’ ground-up remake of Combat Evolved’s campaign: HD rebuild, refined controls, up to four-player online co-op, Operation: Meteorite missions, expanded arsenal and enemies. Cross-progression and crossplay need a Microsoft account; Xbox players can link Gamertag to Steam. Official mod tools are not shipping — community mods are a gray “not blocked, don’t rip the code” zone.

Platforms and the summer stack

Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. July 28 also sits next to EverQuest Legends and inside the same Xbox week that tees up Gears MP on the 30th. If you skipped Premium, the ring opens in two days — same build, less FOMO tax.

“Halo: Campaign Evolved is a faithful yet modernized remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, rebuilt from the ground up.”
