Janam GTX+ brings next-gen biometric access pedestals to live sports
The long lines at stadium gates are about to get much shorter. Janam Technologies unveiled the GTX+ mobile entry pedestal on July 30, a sleek piece of hardware designed to process fans at sports and live entertainment venues using advanced biometrics.
Your face is your ticket
Integrated with Wicket’s facial authentication platform, the GTX+ allows fans to link their ticket to a biometric scan beforehand. Upon arrival, they simply walk past the pedestal, which authenticates them in milliseconds without requiring them to break stride or pull out a phone.
For those opting out of facial recognition, the pedestal fully supports NFC tap-and-go validation for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes. The hardware is battery-powered and mobile, allowing venues to dynamically shift entry lanes based on crowd flow.
