Spider-Man 2 patch adds PSSR 2.0, Power Saver, and two free Brand New Day / Tōkon suits
It’s a Brand New Day in the wardrobe. Insomniac Games pushed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 patch v1.005.000 with Enhanced PSSR (PSSR 2.0) on PS5 Pro, a Power Saver mode for all PS5 hardware, and two free Peter Parker suits — Fresh Start from the film and a cel-shaded Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls look — on PlayStation and PC the same day.
Install, launch, claim
No microtransaction. Install the update (PS5 v1.005.000 / PC v2.727.0.0 on Steam and Epic), boot the game, and both suits land in the wardrobe. Timing is deliberate: Brand New Day is already rolling international theaters ahead of the July 31 U.S. wide release, and Tōkon hits August 6.
Why Pro owners care
Native Enhanced PSSR goes deeper than the system-wide toggle — sharper AI upscaling on the Pro’s heaviest open-world swings. Power Saver dials clocks/resolution for lower draw; useful for thermals, less useful if you came for maximum fidelity. PC keeps DLSS/FSR and still gets the free cosmetics.
